1. High schools will complete the request form found on the MACS website at www.macspartnership.com. No requests will be considered without the request form being completed.
2. MACS will contact the MVCC Admissions Dept. to see if the date is clear for their department to speak. If the date/time does not work for the admissions dept., the MACS office will contact the high school and request an alternate date(s) for the event. If date/time is okay,
3. MACS will forward the request to the appropriate Dean,
4. Within 48 hours, the Dean will notify MACS if the request has been approved and will also contact the appropriate MVCC faculty.
5. MACS will notify the high school that the request was approved and MACS will then work directly with the MVCC faculty and high school contact to plan the details of the event for an on-campus field trip.
For CTE classroom presentation requests at the high schools, MACS will inform the high school who the appropriate MVCC Dept. Chair contact is for their specific request.
6. MACS will complete the appropriate MVCC Room Reservations requests for the event(s).
7. Two to three days prior to the event, MACS will remind the high school that they need to bring a list of all students attending the event, along with an emergency number for each student. MVCC will provide a form (which will be housed on the MACS website) that must be completed for all students who attend events on MVCC’s campus. The list and forms will be collected upon arrival on campus the morning of each event.
8. Requests for MVCC faculty participation at high school college nights and career fairs should be directed to Peggy Machon at machon@morainevalley.edu or Pamela Haney at haney@morainevalley.edu. You do not need to complete the online form found on the MACS website
9. The deadline for field trip requests are as follows:
Fall Semester – September 30th
Spring Semester – February 15th |
