  • MVCC Culinary Skills Competition
  • MVCC Tech Skills and Rapid Prototyping Challenge
  • MVCC Early Childhood Education Skills Competition
  • MVCC Business Skills Competition
  • Southworks Engineering & Robotics Competition

Career Pathway Endorsement Team-Based Challenges should include the following features:

  1. Authentic problem or challenge
  2. identified from and/or in collaboration with industry partners – Partner
  3. is regionally relevant
  4. is globally connected
    • results in a real solution that can be implemented in the “real world”
    • Problem/Task Description:
    • Challenges require students to demonstrate pathway-specific competencies
    • Students demonstrate cross-sector essential employability competencies (Essential Skills)
    • Students demonstrate entrepreneurial competencies
    • Successful demonstration of the competencies represented through a rubric and/or another form of authentic assessment
    • Assessments preferably done in collaboration with industry professionals
